Transcript Info – Remember to request CSU or IGETC (depending which you are following) general education certification when requesting your FINAL transcript via MyGateway. You would typically do this after you have completed your final semester with Fullerton College and your final grades have posted to your transcript. Certification is done by selecting the option on your transcript request. This does not impact admission to the university but it ensures that your university will take your lower-division General Education (GE) pattern as complete. Make sure you send ALL of your college transcripts to the universities ONLY WHEN they ask for them, Fullerton College does not send your other college transcripts that we have on file. If you took any classes at Cypress College remember to also order and send that transcript as well, the two colleges in our district do not combine the transcript. Here is a link to transcripts: https://admissions.fullcoll.edu/transcripts/
Apply for Graduation – Apply for the pastedegreehere at Admissions and Records. The 1st day to submit your graduation application is the 1st day of registration for that semester and the deadline is usually about 2 weeks into the semesters classes (for Summer semester the deadline is about 1 week into the semesters classes). Be aware that walking in Commencement takes place at the end of the Spring semester and is a separate process and is done through the Fullerton College Bookstore. If the Associate Degree you are applying for is an Associate Degree for Transfer (ADT or AST or AAT) AND you are applying for the similar major at the California State University (CSU) system then the following note applies to you; note: Submission of your Fullerton College graduation application is your process for the CSU granting you the perks of the ADT and is the only thing you do to verify you are on track to get the ADT. You also will want to note this on your CSU application in the ADT section. When receiving an Associate Degree for Transfer (ADT) without having completed your United States History (example HIST 171_F, ETHS 101_F) and/or your Constitution and American Ideals (POSC 100_F) Graduation Requirement, you may take these at the CSU as part of the 60 units remaining for you at the CSU (as mandated by the educational code regulation provided for ADT recipients).
You can come back to Fullerton College to take this course, not having it prior to transfer will not affect your Admission. You may also choose to take it at your university. Once enrolled in 7 units or more at the CSU you pay the full time tuition rate so adding three more units to your Fall or Spring semesters will not make you pay a higher tuition (tuition does not work similarly for the UC system). If you don’t want to carry a heavier unit load during those semesters then take it in the summer at a community college to save money. If you take it at a Community College then remember to send the university your transcript once your grade for this course has posted to your transcript.
